Frustration of the day: You want to look up information about the Department of Health and Human Services' National Hospital Available Beds for Emergencies and Disasters (HAvBED): Final Report, and you keep getting that silly log-in screen (almost as annoying as that uppercase/lowercase acronym). You don't have time for this; you're preparing for bioterrorism and other public health emergencies and you need tools and models for planning and preparedness! Now!

The way to go is to surf through the layers of the Web site for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) to land on this page.

Weirdly, the U.S. government actually has provided an illustration of the red tape involved in this process.
