St. Louis hospital losing its ED doctors to staffing issues

Emergency Management Alert, February 5, 2008

Here's a story about an ED staffing issue at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis that devolved to a point where the majority of emergency room physicians have resigned and could leave the hospital by April 1.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, existing discontent was worsened when the hospital brought in a private company to  help ED doctors make the transition to a physician-owned group practice.
