In haste to move into new digs, a McAllen, TX, medical practice left confidential medical records and biohazardous waste in its old office space, an action that will trigger an investigation from the state's medical board.

"There [are] biohazards. There's blood. There [are] needles everywhere," Vicki Chrysler, the building's realtor, told KRGV-TV on December 4.

Chrysler said the mess is from McAllen Primary Care Clinic which moved out of the space three weeks ago and showed no signs of returning to clean up.

A spokesman from the medical board told the television station that the messy office poses not only a public health danger but also potential HIPPA confidentiality law violations.

As the report aired, Chrysler informed KRGV-TV that one of the physicians promised to have the office cleaned up the next day.
