As we discussed yesterday in our Mac's Safety Space blog, The Joint Commission (formerly JCAHO) released a field review of its proposed life safety standards this week.
The revisions better delineate the scoring of The Joint Commission's Life Safety Code provisions. The nine proposed life safety standards take items currently detailed in Part 3 of the Statement of Conditions and recast them as elements of performance.
The field review is open for public comment until January 22, 2008. Watch for more details in our blog and Healthcare Life Safety Compliance.
