Update: Regulating high-risk chemicals
Emergency Management Alert, November 27, 2007
In the November 20 Federal Register, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published "Appendix A to the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards; Final Rule," which follows up the DHS' pre-publication of this rule on November 2. If your facility possesses a chemical of interest (COI), listed in Appendix A at or above its screening threshold quantity (STQ), the facility must complete and submit a consequence assessment known as a Top-Screen within 60 calendar days. Is your facility ready?
