Associations banding together to stop therapy cap

Rehab Regs, October 12, 2007

In an effort to persuade Congress to take action against the therapy cap, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the American Occupational Therapy Association are banding together and encouraging other therapists to gather in Washington, D.C. on October 31, according to an APTA press release. "Stop the Cap Fly-In" is an effort by therapists and other healthcare associations to assemble on Capital Hill to hear what Congress has to say about repealing the therapy cap. Association leaders are also hoping to gain insight to any recent developments on the therapy cap, according to the press release.
