Acquisition helps therapy company grow

U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc., a chain of 348 outpatient occupational and physical therapy facilities across the United States, acquired a majority interest in STAR Physical Therapy on September 7, according to a U.S Physical Therapy, Inc. press release. The partnership will bring the company an additional 53 outpatient physical and occupational therapy clinics, management of facilities for third parties, and a sports outreach program. U.S. Physical Therapy's earnings are expected to range between $8.2 million to $8.7 million in 2007 because of this partnership, according to the press release.
