Rehab Regs, September 14, 2007

Walter Reed Army Medical Center opened an outpatient rehabilitation center for amputee war veterans on September 13, reported The Associated Press (AP). The Washington D.C.-based center will provide physical and occupational therapy services in a 31,000 square foot facility. Virtual reality systems and training with prosthetics will be just a few of the programs offered. Patients will relearn how to drive, rappel walls, and fine tune their motor skills and dexterity, according to The AP.
