A little help from an OT goes a long way

Rehab Regs, September 7, 2007

Making a few changes at home can make independence a possibility, according to the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). OTs are helping more people stay in their homes and make the necessary changes to living comfortably. For example, minor changes such as removing clutter in the bathroom and bedrooms makes it easier for people to navigate. Lowering clothing racks and adding a walk-in shower make dressing and bathing less of a chore, according to the AOTA.
