Home programs to help youngsters

Rehab Regs, August 24, 2007

To help children start off on the right foot, the Knox County Health Department in Ohio developed a free program for families with children three years old and younger, reported the Mount Vernon News. Help Me Grow is a program that provides free home visits to provide vision, hearing, social-emotional, nutritional, and developmental screenings.

Speech, physical, and occupational therapy services are also provided. This program is to help those families learn how to advocate for their children, according to the newspaper.
