Online speech therapy helping children speak

Rehab Regs, August 3, 2007

Children in Canada are receiving at-home speech therapy treatment through online technology, according to www.canada.com. The interactive online speech-language therapy allows patients who have difficulty pronouncing words and making sounds to practice from the comforts of their home. Patients use a headset and Web camera and play games that help improve their speech. The same tools a patient and therapist would use together in an in-person session are now done over the computer, according to the Web site.
