Colorado speech-language pathologists highly sought

Rehab Regs, July 27, 2007

Speech-language pathologists are in high demand in Colorado schools, according to The Gazette. The state is facing a shortage in therapists and the lack of local universities offering speech-language pathology programs, competition from other school districts, hospitals, and private practice to be contributing factors. Many school districts in the state are offering sign-on bonuses as incentives and encourage therapy assistants to go back to school and get their Masters degree, according to the newspaper.
