CMS devises PQRI letter for patients
Rehab Regs, July 13, 2007
Medicare beneficiaries may start receiving letters detailing information about the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI), according to a CMS press release. July 1 was the start of the second phase of the initiative. Therapists are eligible to report on Measure #4 Screening for Future Risk of Falls.
Therapists participating in the bonus reporting system can mail the letter to their patients. The letter is from Medicare, and it explains the program and how it affects the patient, according to the press release.
