Organizations advocate to reduce hearing loss
Rehab Regs, June 8, 2007
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (AHSA) has teamed up with the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) to work on developing and promoting the online resource listentoyourbuds.org, according to an ASHA press release. The Web site is designed to educate children, parents, and educators about the risk of hearing loss from listening to loud music, noise, and televisions.
CEA will provide financial support to ASHA to help the association update the Web site's features, such as the interactive educational tool where children learn about safe listening, according to the press release.
