Turn up the dial, ASHA is on the air
Rehab Regs, May 11, 2007
During the month of May, National Public Radio (NPR) will air the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's (ASHA) 10-second sponsorship spots on two of its national news talk shows to promote May's Better Hearing and Speech Month, according to an ASHA press release.
ASHA is an NPR programming corporate sponsor and will use the time to educate the public about the profession and communication disorders, says ASHA 2007 President Noma Anderson. ASHA felt that NPR's quality of journalism, large public following, and value to its listeners made the radio news organization an important medium for getting the associations word out. The ads will air on NPR's "Morning Edition" and "Talk of the Nation", according to the press release.
