Rehab Regs, April 27, 2007

The Older Driver Initiative brings home the Award of Excellence in 2007 for the American Occupational Therapy Association, according to an association press release. The 2007 Associations Advance American (AAA) Awards program awarded the AOTA for the program's ability to help drivers 65 and older drive safely and assist them with alternative means of transportation when driving is no longer an option. The program also provides public awareness education on older driver health and safety.

The AOTA started the program in 2003 and was one of 13 AAA award winners. The award is sponsored by the American Society of Association Excellence & The Center for Association Leadership in Washington, DC
