AOTA president says leadership is the vision for OTs
Rehab Regs, April 27, 2007
The American Occupational Therapy Association's (AOTA) new president announced during her inaugural speech that leadership in the occupational therapy profession will guide OTs in accomplishing the Centennial Vision in 2017, according to an association press release. To achieve this, OTs need to avoid complacency, fatigue, short-term thinking, and a lack of willingness to reexamine tradition, said AOTA President Penelope A. Moyers.
The AOTA and the American Occupational Therapy Foundation have a leadership mentoring program to help members develop leadership skills, according to the press release.
