Indiana passes licensure bill

In a vote of 88 to 3, House Bill 1821 was passed updating Indiana's occupational therapy licensure law, according to an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) press release.

The bill updates the state's occupational therapy practice act and includes the addition of continuing competence requirements for licensure renewal. The bill provides occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants with professional guidelines and standards to follow, according to the press release.
