Rehab Regs, February 23, 2007
Patients who underwent rehabilitating total knee surgery are benefiting from music-exercise videos, reported United Press International.
Doctors at Michigan State University Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies and the Kalamazoo Orthopedic Clinic developed a workout-type video for patients recovering from total knee replacement surgery. Those patients who used the video returned to normal activities 59% faster than those who did not use the video.
Typically patients who underwent the surgery must perform a series of exercises several times a day, this video is part of their exercise programs, reported United Press International.
