Rehab Regs, January 19, 2007

The Virginia House Health, Welfare, and Institutions Committee unanimously passed a bill Tuesday that would give residents in the state direct access to physical therapy, according to the Virginian-Pilot.

The bill, HB2087, would allow patients to see a PT for up to 14 days without having to see a doctor.

Virginia could become the 43rd state to gain some form of direct access to PT if the bill passes, reported the Virginian-Pilot.
