Company to offer discount home infrared devices
Rehab Regs, October 27, 2006
Healthlight Infrared Therapy says it will offer Medicare patients discounted home infrared therapy devices now that CMS officials say they will not cover these services, according to PRWeb.
In CMS's National Coverage Determination, the agency said it determined there is not sufficient evidence that infrared devices are necessary for Medicare beneficiaries suffering from diabetic and non-diabetic peripheral neuropathy, wounds, ulcers, and other similar conditions.
However, many therapists and patients believe infrared therapy helps these conditions, according to PRWeb.
