Therapist runs one-man practice
Rehab Regs, October 20, 2006
In an effort to offer patients more personalized care, a Milwaukee PT is operating a clinic where he is the only employee. Doug Mazur has scaled back on patients and is his own assistant, aide, and receptionist, according to Greater Milwaukee Today.
Mazur says he practices with the idea that he wants to spend as much time as is necessary, working the with the patient on whatever the patient desires, including strength training or helping the patient get in better shape.
One of his specialties is using a pool propulsion unit, called the Endless Pool, which provides current and resistance in a small pool to allow users to adjust the resistance and simulate different conditions.
