Bill increases focus on rehab research

The House Energy and Commerce Committee approved legislation last week that will require the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to include rehabilitation in its reports to Congress every other year, reported PT Bulletin Online.

The reauthorization of the NIH includes a 5% increase in funding through 2009. The legislation still awaits approval from the full House of Representatives.
