PTs and OTs set to educate runners
Rehab Regs, September 22, 2006
Members of the Oklahoma University-Tulsa Department of Rehabilitation Sciences Program will offer runners soft-tissue therapeutic treatment and instruction after the runners complete the upcoming Tulsa Run, reported Tulsa World.
About 40 PT and OT students will donate their time at the finish line to help better educate the Tulsa community what PT and OT can do for them.
The students, along with their professors, will instruct runners on proper muscle stretching and lengthening. They also hope to help runners avoid future injuries and recover faster from competing, according to Tulsa World.
