PT company agrees to $188,000 settlement

Rehab Regs, September 15, 2006

Advanced Physical Therapy, based in Indiana, agreed to pay the U.S. government more than $188,000 after allegedly submitting false claims for reimbursement, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Advanced did not admit liability in reaching a settlement, but allegedly the company provided group physical therapy to a number of patients while billing the services as if they had been provided individually.
