Congressman meets with PT facility; discusses caps
Rehab Regs, August 25, 2006
U.S. Rep. G.K. Butterfield visited Comprehensive Rehab of Wilson (NC) Inc., earlier this week to get a feel for the daily operations of an outpatient rehab facility and to discuss current legislation that could affect rehab providers, according to the Wilson Daily Times.
Butterfield said he supports legislation that would eliminate the Medicare therapy caps and the need for physician referrals for outpatient physical therapy services under Medicare in North Carolina.
Butterfield's visit was one of many congressmen's visits to therapy facilities this week to talk about issues affecting rehab and to see what facilities offer to patients.
