Lasers helping to treat carpal tunnel
Rehab Regs, March 24, 2006
Anchor Physical Therapy in Broomfield, CO, is using a cold laser to help treat carpal tunnel patients, according to The Broomfield Enterprise.
The laser pushes photon energy into the soft tissue, which speeds up the metabolic process of healing, Mark Kahl, PT, co-owner of Anchor PT told the Enterprise.
Kahl and his practice use the laser to accompany manual therapy for carpal tunnel.
The laser ranges in price from $5,000-$10,000, but Kahl said it helps speed up the healing to allow more manual therapy, reported the Enterprise.
