Rehab Regs, March 17, 2006

The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) voted unanimously to approve the American Physical Therapy Association's (APTA) petition to make women's health a certified specialized area of physical therapy, according to PT Bulletin Online.

ABPTS will present a motion to finalize the specialty certification in June to the House of Delegates.

The ABPTS granted preliminary approval for the certification in December and allowed APTA members to comment on the issue at the Combined Sections Meeting in February, reported PT Bulletin.
