PTs, OTs, and SLPs make list of "hot jobs"
Rehab Regs, February 24, 2006
Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and audiology all recently made US News and World Report's list of "Excellent Careers for 2006."
The article lists the top 15 jobs for this year in terms of need, salary, and overall job satisfaction.
Helping people in one-on-one situations was one of the reasons given for job satisfaction. The artcile also attributes the large aging baby boomer population to the fields' growing needs.
Veterinarians, professors, firefighters, and librarians are other jobs that made the magazine's list.
