Senate reinstates PT education funds

Rehab Regs, July 21, 2005

The Senate Appropriations Committee approved $454.4 million in federal funding for fiscal year 2006 to be used for allied health professional education, reports PT Bulletin Online. The funds were approved last week as part of the Senate's version of the Labor-HHS-Education appropriation bill (HR 3010). The bill still faces debate in the full Senate and negotiations in the House-Senate conference committee this fall before the funding level is finalized, reported the Bulletin Online.
