Survey results confirm high rehab vacancies
Rehab Regs, March 10, 2005
Results of the 2004 Health Care Metrics survey, conducted by the Bernard Hodes Group, confirm that healthcare facilities are still in need of providers across the rehab spectrum, according to Nursing Home & Elder Business Week. The group polled 138 healthcare recruiters, 37% of which represented multi-hospital systems. Rehabilitation reported the highest vacancies, with OT leading the pack at a 14.9% turnover rate. The survey also found that 40% of recruitment budgets were over $200,000 and 41% were less than $100,000. Also covered were questions regarding cost-per-hire, days-to-fill, vacancy rates, and recruitment and retention tactic effectiveness, reported Nursing Home & Elder Business Week.
