DOE seeks advice on IDEA regulations
Rehab Regs, January 13, 2005
The U.S. Department of Education published a notice earlier this month requesting comments and recommendations as it begins to develop new regulations for federal programs for disabled children, according to PT Bulletin Online. The new regulations will implement changes approved by Congress with the enactment of legislation reauthorizing the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) last December. The bill will improve federal funding for programs to assist children with disabilities and ensure that they receive physical therapy services from qualified physical therapists, reported the Bulletin.
