HealthSouth has named Scrushy replacement
Rehab Regs, May 20, 2004
In the midst of the looming trial of former HealthSouth Corp. CEO Richard Scrushy for his alleged role in a $2.7 billion accounting fraud, the rehab giant has announced a new chief executive. Jay Grinney, an official with hospital corporation HCA Inc., began his new position earlier this month, according to the Birmingham News. Grinney's responsibilities will include an increase in outpatient rehab services and continuing to improve the strength of the company after the scandal almost crushed it.
