Standards feedback wanted from OTs
Rehab Regs, January 16, 2004
The Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE(r)) has begun the review and revision process of the Standards for an Accredited Educational Program for the Occupational Therapist/Occupational Therapy Assistant, the current accreditation standards which establish the critical competencies necessary to prepare individuals to become entry-level OTs or OT assistants. The standards are reviewed every five years and ACOTE expects the new standards to be published in January 2006 and compliance required by July 2007. The ACOTE Educational Standards Review Committee is seeking input from all interested parties. For additional information, visit
