FOOTBALL PLAYER PUNTS HIS WAY TO RECOVERY After part of his leg was amputated, San Jose State University football player Neil Parry plans to return to the field this month despite his injuries. According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, the senior played on the punt-return team for the Spartans this season, three years after he broke his right leg during a game. After a serious infection developed, Parry's leg had to be amputated below the knee nine days later. After continuous physical therapy and training with a prosthetic leg, Parry became the first non-kicker to play major college football with a prosthesis.
