Most rehab facilities know the importance of following payer rules and guidelines, because if they don’t, there is a risk of not getting paid or, worse, facing legal action. But too many facilities overlook all the other rules that rehab providers face—everything from HIPAA to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines to state and federal laws on sexual harassment and drugs in the workplace.
