Rehab Regs, June 13, 2008
The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will work together in six Midwestern states to reduce and prevent injuries sustained by PTs and other healthcare employees, according to a recent APTA press release.
APTA and OSHA aim to prevent work-related musculoskeletal disorders and teach PTs safe patient handling practices, according to the APTA. The six states involved in the alliance are Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
