When it comes to objective documentation, your rehab practice is on the right track if therapists are using tests and measurements to gather objective data about patients’ progress. But if you’re letting that data collect dust, you’re not all the way home yet.
Simply gathering objective data isn’t enough. Data gleaned from objective measures needs to be integrated into documentation to ensure payment, and that’s something not all therapists are doing well, says Kate Brewer, PT, MBA, GCS, vice president of rehabilitation services at Greenfield (WI) Rehabilitation Agency.
