Transmittal 88 changes plan of care certification standards to 90 days

On May 7, CMS released the long-awaited Transmittal 88 Change Request 5921, which clarifies and alters CMS Pub 100-02. Although the changes were effective retroactive to January 1, CMS set an implementation date of June 9 for the transmittal. Most of the changes in the transmittal are good for therapists and are the result of lobbying by therapy associations.
