ASHA promotes Better Hearing and Speech Month in May
Rehab Regs, May 9, 2008
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) will sponsor some National Public Radio (NPR) programs this month to help brand Better Hearing and Speech Month, according to a press release on the association’s Web site.
ASHA will air 10-second spots on the NPR programs Morning Edition and the Diane Rehm Show during several weeks in May to raise the visibility of SLPs and other speech, language, and hearing professionals, the release says.
This year is the second year ASHA has sponsored radio programs for Better Hearing and Speech Month. Throughout May, the association will offer SLPs and audiologists free resources to promote the Better Hearing and Speech Month at www.asha.org/bhsm.
