New law gives Minnesota residents more time to see a PT

A Minnesota law enacted April 17 gives patients 60 more days to visit a PT without a physician referral, according a press release from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
According to the release, the new state law, which was sponsored by Sen. Yvonne Prettner Solon and Rep. Paul Thissen, extends the amount of time patients may receive treatment from a PT without a referral from 30 days to 90 days.
