American Physical Therapy Association urges support for uninsured Americans
Rehab Regs, April 25, 2008
The American Physical Therapy Association will observe “Covered the Uninsured Week” from April 27-May 3, according to a press release on the association’s Web site.
The association will be recognizing the week because PTs know the challenges patients encounter to obtain health care, the release says.
The APTA urges residents across the country to contact their legislators about finding solutions for people without health insurance. For more information about the effort, visit www.covertheuninsured.org.
