CMS announces round one DMEPOS single payments

CMS announced the single payment amounts for round one of the Medicare Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) competitive bidding program, according to the agency website.
Under the program, the beneficiaries in designated competitive bidding areas access DMEPOS products and services with a lower out-of-pocket cost. Medicare will pay contract suppliers 80% of the single payment amount for each item, and the beneficiaries will be responsible for the remaining 20%.
