Loan repayment bill might include occupational therapists
Rehab Regs, February 15, 2008
Occupational therapists can expect to be included under the loan repayment program for professions of "national need" if the Senate consents to an agreement made on the House floor, according to an American Occupational Therapy Association press release. The College Opportunity and Affordability Act, H.R. 4137 was passed on the House floor on February 7.
The program will repay $2,000 a year for five years as long as the eligible professions work with children, adolescents, or veterans, according to the release.
