Medicare will not change ESA-drug policy

Medicare will not budge on reimbursements for anemia drugs sold by Amgen Inc. and Johnson & Johnson, according to a report by Reuters.
The US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services says it has seen no new evidence that its policy-tightening reimbursement on the drugs would harm patients.
Recent studies say the drugs are often overused and can lead to major heart problems.
