If a patient expresses a need to reestablish credit, or a need for smaller payments, then the loan program is a valued option. As you present this option, you need to emphasize the positive results for the patient and not focus on the issue of interest charged.
However, do not ignoed the interest issue; the bank is required by law to provide a complete disclosure of the interest terms prior to completion of the loan process.
You should be prepared to assist the patient with initiating the loan process, completing forms, and following up with the appropriate individual(s) who actually handle the loan program.
