Kaiser Permanente works with Google
Patient Financial Services Weekly Advisor, May 19, 2006
Kaiser Permanente has been working with Google as one of its contributors to Google Co-op, a new Web site where users can search for health-related information, PR Newswire reports. This Web site is available at http://www.google.com/coop.
Kaiser Permanente is one of the groups of third-party organizations that worked with Google to identify the best health-related content on the Internet.
The goal is for users to have a more effective way to refine their health-related searches. According to PR Newswire, a user who enters the name of an illness into the search engine will be shown a set of terms to refine the query, including disease information, research, news, support groups, government sites, patient sites, medical professionals, and alternative medicine. Upon refining the query, a set of links that have been provided by Kaiser Permanente and the other trusted contributors will appear.
