Each month the Revenue Cycle Institute publishes a free sample tool or form for readers. This month’s tool— a charging for supplies sample policy—is a useful source when it comes to determining whether certain items are routine supplies and whether they are separately billable or not.
Editor’s note: Access the free tool by clicking here. This sample policy was submitted by Denise Williams, RN, CPC-H, Vice President of Revenue Integrity Services for Health Revenue Assurance Associates, Inc., Plantation, FL.
