CMS now requiring ABN review as part of ADR

CMS released a transmittal on December 10 that will require that a mandatory advanced beneficiary notice (ABN) shall be requested as part of the additional documentation request (ADR) on all claims undergoing complex medical record review. This change will be effective on January 12, 2011.
