Recovery Auditor Report, November 11, 2010
Hospital quality update
A CMS representative informed the audience that the hospital-acquired condition (HAC) information that CMS planned to make available on September 28 was not released due to a discrepancy between the claims data that hospitals submitted and the CMS data file that was used to calculate the HAC information. Hospitals should disregard the hospital-specific reports that they received from September 16 or thereabouts, and CMS will announce plans for future HAC reporting at a later date.
The CMS representative also told the audience that the preview data for Hospital Quality Alliance Initiative and Hospital Inpatient and Outpatient Quality reporting programs will be available on My Quality Net for participating hospitals from October 12, 2010 through November 10, 2010.
